Meet The Founder
Growing up, I had always been fascinated by the stock market’s endless ups and downs, the stories of fortunes made and lost. But I noticed something that bothered me—there seemed to be this unspoken rule that you had to be "in the know" to succeed, that only the financial elite had the tools and knowledge to navigate it successfully. Most "regular" people were kept on the sidelines, relying on financial advisors or managed funds, and often left feeling powerless over their own money.
After years of investing myself, I realised that it doesn’t have to be this way. The idea that investing is only for the “experts” is a myth. With the right approach and mindset, anyone can learn to grow their wealth. I knew firsthand that there were simple, proven strategies, and methods supporting decades of successful traders and investors, that the average person could understand and benefit from- if only they were accessible.

That’s where the vision for Market Monkey began: a friendly, no-frills approach to learning about active investing. I wanted to create a place where anyone, especially people nearing or in retirement, could come to learn, experiment safely, and ultimately build their confidence. Not everyone has the time to spend hours dissecting financial reports or the budget to pay hefty fees to fund managers. But with the right tools and guidance, they can still achieve success.
Our mission at Market Monkey has always been about empowerment. Through simplified resources, like easy-to-follow tutorials, practical tools, and hands-on paper trading, we’re making active investing less intimidating and more approachable. It’s about demystifying the market and helping people understand that investing success isn’t about being a Wall Street wizard—it’s about being consistent, aware, and having a few simple strategies that work for YOU.
Today, our goal remains the same: to show people that they don’t need to be “financially gifted” to succeed in the market. Market Monkey is for anyone who has the inclination and time to take charge of their financial future, to make smart, steady progress without feeling overwhelmed. This is only the beginning, and we’re excited to grow with our community.
